The Dance City Kids include leveled classes for 2nd grader and up. The classes in this program are separated into four levels and dancers will likely spend multiple years in a level at some point. In this program, they take individual classes in specific types of dance.  Students build physical strength and muscle memory, fine tune technique and increase endurance.

Dance Attire: For most dance classes, dancers should wear tight fitting dance or activewear.  A leotard and tights, leggings and a tank top or any athletic wear is appropriate, as long as it is tight fitting. Teachers must be able to see the dancer’s body outline clearly in order to make proper corrections on posture, alignment, etc. Jeans, skirts and dresses are not permitted. BALLET I and up: Black leotard and light pink tights.

Tap shoes: black lace-up tap shoes - preferably, Black Cadence by Capezio (alternative Audeo by Bloch)

Ballet shoes: pink leather or canvase

Jazz shoes: tan slip on

Hip Hop shoes: black Converse All Star style shoes with white sole
